Finally some sewing!

In a trade with another mama locally, here are some cloth pads and one wonky lunch sack. I surely need to fix this. I think the back should be longer than the front to fold down better so I think I'll put a deeper hem in the front and a scant hem in the back and hopefully that will make it look less wonky. Otherwise what a cute lunch sack! Its so soft with cotton batting in between the layers and the material is super soft.
The cloth pads came out great! The light purple one is super wonky, I think I'll be keeping that for myself! :) Which some of this wonky sewing may have to do with the fact that I was up until 2am sewing!!! Hmmmmmm...... sometimes sewing at night is relaxing but wonky! (grin)
Have a look!

What I hope to get from blogging

I was thinking how amazing some blogs are! I think why I want to blog and well partly I want a link for my kids to see as they grow. I want to record those special moments about them and for them.
I also want my thoughts down as I feel like this is a huge changing part of my life for me. I wish I could think of something fancy to say about that metamorphis that is happening. But well I dont always get fancy! :)
I find myself drawn much more to the things around me, nature, trying to observe the good things around me. And growing from those experiences. Truly isnt life a growing experience? For learning, for fun, for being kind to others.

Goodbye Three's.....

The time has come to say goodbye to being 3. Tomorrow my baby will be the big F-O-U-R years old. My womb aches.

Here are some pictures from tonight. I thought I had added pictures from Nannette's last 10 year old celebration however I need to get them into photo bucket.

Seems like just yesterday I had that 9 1/2 lb baby boy in my arms.

School and more school

Not a lot to talk about here. I really need to figure out the whole picture thing, then I could use my pictures as a sounding board! :)
Nannette won an award at school for Commitment. That was really neat, I am very proud of her. She loves school and it shows! Report cards come out on Wednesday and I got a sneak peak of her grades from her teacher and yay I already know she has all A's and B's.
Nannette had a very important event last week she turned 11. Goodness seems like yesterday she was a little 5 lb 12 oz baby in my arms.
Speaking of milestones, Jacob will be the big 4 on Wednesday. Holy Cow! Seems just like yesterday he was a 9 1/2 lb baby in my arms.

School for me is a bunch of hoops I have to jump through, I hope to hear more by the end of November. Sigh........... I really hate waiting.

Hi ho, Hi ho its off to school I go!

Wow! 10 years later I'm finishing up one college class! (grin) It has taken a good chunk of time out of my schedule. A little less sewing, a little less playing but a whole lot of learning! I am currently half way through "Introduction to Education with Technology". Can you say that 10 times fast?? Going back took a lot, I was scared and nervous and well just a case of the jitters, and this is an online class!!! Still a lot of work. Please don't think an online class is any easier! Yikes it takes a lot of discipline to do school work rather than play!

Next semester if all goes right with financial aide, I'll be taking 2 classes. I'm on my way! There's no stopping me now!

Have you heard??????

I stumbled across this site the other day. I love the music! Its really nice to listen as I tick away here at the computer. I think you might like it too!

Ahhhh My first thoughts....

I've thought about creating a blog again for sometime now. I wanted to get away from the old blog and start fresh! I feel that way about my life and where I am now. I feel fresh, alive, breathing clean air, hungry for life and what the earth has to offer me.
My husband, kids and myself are happy. The joy's listening to only the soft sounds of nature as it surrounds us is enough for me.
Can you say that nature and the earth are enough for today? I am not sure I have ever been able to say that. Tomorrow morning when you wake up, go outside, look up and all around and see if you can feel what I feel!
Life!

Soon I'll figure out pictures and all that! :)
